Energy Assessors Guidance

In order to produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for your property we will need to carry out an inspection of your property.

This should take approximately 45 minutes to an hour depending on the size and complexity of the property.

Initially the assessor will ask you to walk him round the property to show him the layout and where any heating controls and meters are fitted.

Our inspector will need access to all rooms in the house, as well as the roof space or loft and any basement area. They will also need access to the garage area if the boiler or any other heating controls are in there.

If you have any external storage tanks for oil or fuels used to heat the property our inspector will need to view these too.

During the assessment our assessor will need to take measurements of the floor area of all floors of the property and take photographs of the following items >>
